Arby's to test venison sandwich in Pittsburgh area to celebrate hunting season

PITTSBURGH — Arby’s will test a venison sandwich at several Pittsburgh area locations in late November, the fast-food chain announced Wednesday.

Pennsylvania is among six states in which the thick-cut venison sandwiches will be made available. They will be offered at a total of 17 Arby’s locations.

“For the more than 20 million hunters across America, the arrival of fall means Meats Season is finally here. And no restaurant understands Meats Season better than Arby’s, which is why the Fast Crafted sandwich brand will release a Venison Sandwich in popular hunting markets beginning in early November,” a news release said.

The sandwiches will feature a thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions topped with a juniper berry sauce on a toasted specialty roll.

The following Pittsburgh-area Arby’s restaurants will offer the venison sandwiches Nov. 25-28:
