TAMPA, Fla. - A Florida teacher was arrested after letting a 14-year-old drive her car because she was “too drunk,” police said.
Terra Virgin, 32, told police that she had five drinks and was too drunk to drive when she and the teen were pulled over in Tampa on Sunday night, according to WFTS.
Police said they also found an open beer in the cup holder of the car.
Virgin said she wanted the teen, who is her boyfriend’s son, to drive her to Waffle House, WFTS reported.
Virgin is currently a math teacher at a Tampa high school, according to WFTS.
She was charged with child neglect and allowing an unauthorized minor to drive.
