New charges filed against contractor

PENN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — New charges have been filed against a remodeling contractor who last year told Channel 11 he was committed to returning thousands of dollars to clients for work he never completed.

Paperwork filed Monday shows warrants are again out for Christian Sheasley's arrest.

Penn Township police maintain the former owner of Linx Creative Kitchens on Route 8 in Butler County took money from two families.

TRENDING NOW:

Officers say they've been dealing with him since last October when they filed charges against the contractor for taking $8,000 from a newlywed couple and not delivering on their dream kitchen.

Police told Channel 11 that since then two more families have come forward.

The Butler County couple told Channel 11 that last March, they met Sheasley, signed a contract and put 60 percent down -- more than $22,000 -- on their dream kitchen, with an expected June start.

When that didn't happen, they say in August, Sheasley demolished their kitchen and took more money: more than $11,000. Police say he cashed the checks, but never did the work.

Another couple told police they contracted with Sheasley in July, put $6,700 down for their kitchen renovation and again, police say he never showed up.

Channel 11 called Sheasley's cellphone, but he didn't pick up. His answering machine says he still works for Linx Creative Kitchens, even though Channel 11 reported last year, Sheasley filed for bankruptcy in October.

Police tell Channel 11 he was supposed to turn himself in on these two new charges Monday morning, but that did not happen.

Sheasley has court hearings coming up in Allegheny and Butler counties on at least five different cases.
