PITTSBURGH - PennDOT announced Friday that the ramp connecting the Liberty Bridge to northbound Interstate 579 will be closed Monday through Friday next week.
Crews will apply a protective acrylic coating to a large retaining wall along the ramp, which will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The posted detour advises motorists to turn right onto Forbes Avenue; turn left onto Chatham Square/ Washington Place, stay straight and follow signs to I-579.
The work is part of the $36 million Crosstown Boulevard/Veterans Bridge Preservation Project.
