Man, 19, hurt in Swissvale shooting; Warrant for shooter issued

SWISSVALE, Pa. — Police said they are searching for a man accused of shooting a 19-year-old in Swissvale Tuesday night.

Investigators said the shooting happened around 9:20 p.m. in the 2100 block of Noble Street.

Officers said the 19-year-old victim was shot in the stomach and transported to an area hospital where he’s listed in stable condition.

Allegheny County police said Marcel Thompson, 19, is wanted in connection with the shooting. He is facing several charges, including attempted homicide.

Thompson is from McKeesport and is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 pounds and has the name “Regina” tattooed to the right side of his neck.
