1 killed, several others injured during Homewood bar shooting

PITTSBURGH — One person died and four others were injured during a shooting at a Homewood bar Saturday morning.

The shooting happened about 1:19 a.m. at the Rendezvous Phase III Bar on Hamilton Avenue.

Vincent Edward Holt Jr., 27, was killed.

Three other people were shot and taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. A fifth person arrived at West Penn Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm and was transferred to Allegheny General Hospital.

According to police, four security guards that were working at the bar at the time of the shooting left before authorities arrived.

The bartender told investigators he ducked behind the bar when he heard the gunshots.

No arrests have been made.

Police are investigating.
