MARS, Pa. - Nearly 100 people turned out for a meeting on Tuesday night to learn more about possible gas drilling in Mars.
Rex Energy presented a lease proposal to the Mars Area School District.
Opponents say they’re concerned drilling will be done too close to the schools and cause health effects.
“Is my child going to be able to have a child because of where we live?” said a parent.
The informal meeting gave residents the chance to talk.
The board has not made a decision.
