11 kids forced out of McKees Rocks day care after electrical fire

McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — Eleven children were forced out of a McKees Rocks day care by an electrical fire Monday morning.

The blaze was reported at the Train Up a Child day care on Chartiers Avenue about 10:30 a.m.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and no injuries were reported.

"There was an electrical fire that started in the ceiling fan," day care administrator Betty Watkins said.

The 11 kids have been taken to other day cares because there was still a lot of smoke in the building.
