Man wanted in connection with shooting 17-year-old West Mifflin girl

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Police said they have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old West Mifflin girl Sunday.

According to police, the shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. on Division Street.

Investigators said when they arrived, the teenage victim was found lying on the roadway with a gunshot wound to the hip. She was transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital and is expected to be OK.

Officers said three cars were damaged as a result of the gunfire and one of the cars was struck by the shooter as he was leaving the scene.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Daniel Greer. He is wanted on aggravated assault, criminal attempted homicide and firearm violations.

Greer is described as a black, 18-year-old man who is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. Investigators said Greer was last seen driving a burgundy or red colored car with front-end and passenger-side damage.

Police said Greer is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911.
