ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Pa. - A 17-year-old Karns City High School student was killed Tuesday morning in a car crash in Armstrong County.
Authorities said Kyle Robinson, 17, of Rimersburg, lost control of his vehicle just after 7 a.m. on Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township.
Investigators said Robinson's car was going around a bend when he lost control and was broadsided by a pickup truck.
Officials said Robinson, who was on his way to school, was pronounced dead at the scene just before 8 a.m.
“My sister came down crying. She heard about it from his cousin, and then I heard from his mom,” Robinson’s friend Devin Melanson said.
Officials said the pickup truck driver suffered a nose injury and was wearing a seat belt.
