3 arrested after police chase ends in crash in Pittsburgh's South Side

PITTSBURGH — Police said they arrested three people who tried to take off running after leading officers on a chase that ended in a crash in Pittsburgh's South Side early Thursday.

According to a 911 supervisor, the chase began in St. Clair when officers spotted what they thought was a stolen truck.

When police attempted to pull the truck over, investigators said the driver sped off and led officers to Julia Street, where three people inside got out of the truck and attempted to flee.

Officers said they arrested all three people.

Police have not released the names of the people arrested, nor have they said what charges they may face.
