2 armed robberies reported hours apart on same Washington Co. street

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are investigating two armed robberies that took place four hours apart on the same Washington County street Wednesday.

Authorities said the first robbery was at the MMM Pizza Shop on West Chestnut Street just after midnight.

According to police, an armed man also robbed the Red Roof Inn on West Chestnut Street in Canton Township about 4 a.m.

There is no word on how much money the robbers got away with in either case.

Investigators said they don’t believe the robberies are connected. No arrests have been made.
