• Head-on crash injures 2 in Union Township


    UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None - Two men were flown to a Youngstown hospital Saturday night with injuries suffered in a car crash in Lawrence County.

    Police said the head-on crash happened on West State Street in Union Township at about 9 p.m.

    One of the cars crossed the road’s center line and struck the other, officials said.

    Both men, whose names have not been released, were trapped in their vehicles for about 20 minutes before being pulled from the wreckage by crews, authorities said.

    Both men are being treated for serious injuries at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, authorities said.
