PITTSBURGH - Two women were hurt after crashing in a construction zone in Pittsburgh’s North Shore.
Channel 11’s Dave Bondy reported that the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on the ramp to the Fort Pitt Bridge on Route 65.
Crews said they were installing ground reflectors when a car slammed into their barrier truck.
A Channel 11 crews was there as the woman who was driving the car and a passenger were taken to a nearby hospital. Investigators said they were not wearing their seatbelts.
One worker said one woman was handcuffed while officers spoke to her, it’s not clear if either woman will face charges.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. No construction workers were hurt.
