NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Traffic is blocked in North Huntingdon near Trafford on Route 993 and Cavittsville Road while firefighters battle multiple structure fires on nearby Western Avenue.
Chopper 11 flew over the scene and showed a garage and two houses on fire around 2 p.m. Monday. At least six fire trucks are at the scene.
Crews at the scene told Channel 11 News that the fire started in the garage. An older man said he was working in the garage when something caught fire. The man said he tried to put out the fire himself, but it spread too quickly.
Authorities are advising motorists to avoid Route 933 and Cavittsville Road in the area for the next several hours.
It's unclear if any injuries were reported.
