Toddler falls from second-floor window; investigation underway

GREENSBURG, Pa. — Investigators are looking into how a 3-year-old girl fell through a second-floor window Tuesday night in Westmoreland County.

According to police, the toddler fell from the window of a duplex on Walnut Avenue in Greensburg just before 5 p.m.

There was no screen in the open window and the girl’s mother was home at the time, investigators said.

A nurse who lives nearby rushed to help the girl until an ambulance arrived to take her to UPMC Children’s Hospital. She was conscious when she was taken to the hospital.

The girl’s name and condition have not been released.
