Suspect identified in Edgewood Towne Center shooting

EDGEWOOD, Pa. — Police have issued a search warrant for Tyron Manns in connection to Saturday’s shooting at the Edgewood Towne Center shopping plaza.

According to police, two people were involved in the shooting during which three bystanders were injured.

Investigators said Manns, 23, was identified in surveillance video as one of the gunmen. He should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

The shopping center’s Foot Locker, Sneaker Villa and Dollar Tree suffered damage from the shooting, authorities said.

Police told Channel 11 that the two shooters knew each other.  They said one shooter was in Sneaker Villa, and the other one was outside.  They made eye contact and started shooting at each other, hitting three bystanders, police said.

One bystander was hit in the leg, the second in the upper hip and the third person, a man, 20, was shot in the upper body.

The 20-year-old, who police said knew the group involved in the shooting, underwent surgery at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital Saturday.

The other two people shot, a woman, 51, and a man, 29, were also taken to Presby.

Following the shooting, police searched the area surrounding the shopping center for the gunmen, who fled on foot.

According to police, a man who may have some connection to the shooting was arrested. The man arrested is not one of the gunmen, police said.

Anyone with information on Mann’s whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

The second gunman has not been identified.
