37,000 pounds of chicken spill onto Route 422 in Lawrence County

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. — A tractor-trailer driver lost control on Route 422 early Wednesday morning and spilled nearly 37,000 pounds of chicken onto the roadway.

The incident happened in the area of McConnells Mill State Park just beyond routes 79 and 19.

The eastbound lanes of Route 422 were blocked while crews work to clear the scene.

No injuries were reported.
