Accident in Troy Hill neighborhood takes out memorial at old firehouse

PITTSBURGH - An accident Friday night took out a memorial in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill Neighborhood.

Emergency dispatchers said the crash happened on Froman Street in front of the old firehouse.

The driver, who recently moved here from California with his family, told Channel 11 that he hit a patch of ice and slid right into the memorial. The impact knocked the whole thing over.

The driver was not hurt, but his car was totaled.
