Updated:PITTSBURGH (AP) (AP)ong> - Acting Pittsburgh Police Chief Regina McDonald has suspended three employees on her first day on the job.
McDonald said Thursday that officer Tonya Montgomery-Ford and civilian clerks Tamara Davis and Kim Montgomery will be on paid administrative leave until the FBI completes its investigation of the police bureau.
Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl also said he may look for an outsider to lead the city's police force, a day after he asked Chief Nate Harper to resign.
The FBI gathered boxes of records last week from police headquarters. Montgomery-Ford and Davis are among the department subordinates that Harper partnered with to create an outside consulting business that also drew scrutiny.
The local Fraternal Order of Police could not immediately be reached for comment.
