Allison Park man given 3 to 6 years for 2011 fatal drunken driving crash

ALLISON PARK, Pa. — An Allison Park man was sentenced Thursday to three to six years in prison for a deadly drunken driving crash last year.

A judge sentenced Aaron Stevens to 36 to 72 months behind bars and five years of probation for the crash that killed 33-year-old Mark Trimmer in June 2011.

Stevens spoke during the sentencing and said he’s very sorry for his actions.

The judge replied, “By your actions, you brought death, carnage and psychological harm.”

Trimmer’s wife, Colleen, told Channel 11’s Lori Houy that she wasn’t happy with Stevens’ sentence.

“I’m sentenced for the rest of my life and he can go home to his mother in three years,” Trimmer said.

Colleen Trimmer also said Thursday would have been her and her husband's 17th anniversary.
