HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Students with the Hempfield Area High School band are traveling to Hawaii to perform in this weekend's 19th annual Honolulu Festival.
School leaders said 165 students began their travels early Wednesday morning.
The students said they have been working hard on preparing for this trip.
"We're really excited. We've been working so hard for this and our hard work is paying off. We're all really excited," said one student.
The band also traveled to Hawaii in 2009.
The Honolulu Festival promotes understanding, economic cooperation and harmony between the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Region.
