PITTSBURGH — For the second time this season, a Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star will be on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine.
MVP candidate Andrew McCutchen is on the national cover of the Sept. 9 edition of Sports Illustrated.
In the cover story, SI senior writer Lee Jenkins writes about the team’s 20 seasons of losing and its relationship with the city of Pittsburgh.
Jason Grilli was featured on the cover of the July 22 issue earlier this season.
