SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Animal Friends held its annual Mutt Strut Sunday in South Park.
The 5k and dog walk brought people and canines together at Edgebrook Field.
Participants had the option of taking part in the Run for Compassion 5k or taking their canine companions for a 1-mile walk.
"There are a lot of shelters that are kill shelter. There are a lot of shelters that just can't handle the capacity of the dogs. If we can get more rescue dogs into homes, you have a lot more happy families and a lot more happy dogs," said Greg Joseph, event organizer.
