Armed men flee convenience store robbery on ATV, investigators say

GERMAN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police in Fayette County are looked for two men accused of robbing a convenience store at gunpoint and fleeing the scene on an ATV on Tuesday.

Authorities said the two men dressed in black sweatshirts, gloves and ski masks drove to the Sweet Peas Convenience Store on McClellandtown Road and Route 166 in German Township on a four-wheel ATV.

According to police, the men jumped over the counter and one of them displayed a revolver.

After stealing about $200 in cash from the register, the men drove their ATV south towards Leckrone-Highhouse Road.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-404-TIPS or crimestoppersfayette@gmail.com.

Any information that leads to an arrest in this case will be considered for an award of up to $1,000, police said.

Management of Sweet Peas is also offering a reward of $1,500 for anyone that provides information that leads to the identification and arrest of the robbers.
