Arrest made in Kennedy Township shooting case; Police say killer still on loose

KENNEDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — On Tuesday, police said they don't have the person who killed a man in his Kennedy Township home last week, but they've arrested a person they said had more than $3,000 worth of the victim's jewelry.

Bryan Gibbons, 29, is accused of attempting to sell jewelry that went missing from the home after John Parkes, 55, was found dead inside.

The longtime resident had been shot in the head, police said.

Police said on the day the victim was found, Gibbons and another man were caught breaking into a home in Sharpsburg.
