Authorities warn residents about rash of car break-ins in Westmoreland County

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Authorities in Westmoreland County are warning residents about a recent rash of car break-ins.

The break-ins happened at Indian Lake Park in North Huntingdon.

"To know they're breaking into these cars, that's very upsetting," said walker Terri Wilson.

Police have recovered a number of missing items, and they believe they've identified the thieves.

"A witness stated she actually confronted two boys, who were as she said breaking into a car," said Det. Sgt. Jeffrey Bouldin of North Huntingdon police.

"I patrolled the area and actually located the two potential suspects in a garage," said Bouldin.
