PITTSBURGH - An autopsy is scheduled Thursday on a 2-month-old girl who was found dead in a Larimer home Wednesday night.
Authorities said Mackenzie Hopkins was found unresponsive just after 8 p.m. at a relative’s home on Shetland Street.
She was taken to Children's Hospital where she died at 9:11 p.m., a spokesman for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said.
City homicide detectives were called to investigate, which is normal practice in the cases of deaths of very young children.
