Belle Vernon High School placed on lockdown

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Belle Vernon High School in Westmoreland County was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon.

A parent told Channel 11 News that the school was “on code red lockdown.”

Westmoreland County 911 officials confirmed the lockdown, but would not say what prompted it.
