WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Belle Vernon High School in Westmoreland County was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon.
A parent told Channel 11 News that the school was “on code red lockdown.”
Westmoreland County 911 officials confirmed the lockdown, but would not say what prompted it.
This incident happened while another school, Central Valley High School in Beaver County, was also placed on lockdown. Read more about that incident HERE.
