Blueprints unveiled for replica of Titanic expected to set sail in 2016

NEW YORK — An Australian billionaire unveiled the blueprints Wednesday for his massive replica of the Titanic.

The Titanic II will follow the same path as its namesake from Southampton, England, to New York City.

Officials said it will also have the same interior and cabin layout as the original, and passengers will wear costumes from that era.

Reportedly there is already big interest in the ship, and some people have offered to pay up to $1 million per cabin.

Titanic II is expected to set sail in 2016.
