Body found in Ohio River ID'd as missing Monaca woman

CHESTER, W.Va. — A body found in the Ohio River near Chester has been identified as that of a Pennsylvania woman.

Workers found the body of 32-year-old Sharone Napua Nakoa of Monaca, Pa., on April 16 near the Jennings Randolph Bridge.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Department tells media outlets that the West Virginia Medical Examiner's Office identified the body and notified the county on Monday.

The sheriff's department says Nakoa was reported missing with the Monaca Police Department on Feb. 19.
