Body of missing Wilmerding woman found

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — The body of a Wilmerding woman who was reported missing several weeks ago was found floating where Turtle Creek flows into the Monongahela River on Wednesday.

Authorities said family members identified 55-year-old Ruth Ann Mullenix’s body, which was found about 6:30 p.m. floating in the waters underneath the Union Railroad Bridge in East Pittsburgh.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said an autopsy is scheduled Thursday.

Mullenix had been missing since March 17.
