SOCHI, Russia — The Brazilian pair of Fabiana Santos and Sally da Silva were shaky from the start of their run in Sunday’s two-woman bobsled training session, but their struggles came to a head during a scary moment about two-thirds of the way down the track.
They came around a turn extremely high and left the ice, flipping their sled and sliding down the rest of the track sideways.
The duo registered a time of 1:03.23, and despite some sled damage, reports are that neither athlete was seriously injured.
