ALLISON PARK, Pa. - Emergency crews said a school bus was involved in an accident in Allison Park Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at the intersection of Burchfield Road and Franklynn Drive around 8:30 a.m.
Emergency officials said the driver of a minivan “appears to have not been paying attention and rear-ended the bus.”
Officials said there were 18 students on board the bus at the time of the crash. All of the children were evaluated by EMS workers and no injuries were reported.
Emergency responders said the principal of Burchfield Elementary School, located about one mile from the scene of the crash, responded to the scene. The bus was later deemed safe to drive up the road and the roadway was reopened around 9:30 a.m.
