Bride-to-be gets trial in DUI crash that killed sister

VANDERGRIFT, Pa. — A bride-to-be who is accused of DUI in a crash that killed her sister will go to trial.

Investigators said Michelle Dibler was drunk when she lost control of her car and crashed into the Kiski River in March.

Police said Dibler and her sister Nicole were coming from her bachelorette party when the car hit a guiderail and rolled several times before landing on its roof in the Kiski River in Vandergrift.

"You not only have the death of an individual we believe is the result of alcohol involvement, but it's her sister," said Armstrong County District Attorney Scott Andreassi.

Dibler faces a list of charges including homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and involuntary manslaughter.
