SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. - An underground sprinkler broke early Thursday morning at a Scott Township shopping center, damaging inventory at three of the Greentree Road stores.
Officials said Rite Aid, Sherwin Williams and Bradley's Book Outlet were all damaged by the break.
Channel 11's Lori Houy reported that the book store suffered the most damage.
"The water system to the store is fine. What broke is the sprinkler system," shopping center manager Ken Isaacson said.
Plumber John Kocinski said a six-inch underground sprinkler line ruptured.
"There is a bit of water in each store but it could have been much worse," Kocinski said.
