SOCHI, Russia - Self-proclaimed “wild child” Nick Goepper said the ‘free’ in freeskiing is how he was hooked.
After his father lost his job in the recession, Goepper said he would go door-to-door looking for odd jobs.
After securing a scholarship to a skiing school in Oregon, Goepper said he honed his craft into what propelled him to the slopes of Sochi.
