California man accused of taping sex acts with teen at W. Kittanning motel

WEST KITTANNING, Pa. — A California man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenager and videotaping the assault at a West Kittanning motel.

Investigators said they received a report of a missing Washington Township 17-year-old on Tuesday.

State police said the teen was later found at the Quality Inn Motel with 31-year-old Timothy Rodenius, of Ontario, Calif.

Police said Rodenius met the victim on the Internet, flew to Pennsylvania from California and took the girl to the motel.

The next day, police said they searched Rodenius' motel room and found a digital camera, video recording equipment and storage devices.

According to the police report, the evidence revealed that various sex acts between the victim and Rodenius had been recorded.

Rodenius was arrested and charged with corruption of minors and is in the Armstrong County Jail.
