Crews look into report of boat hitting Smithfield Street Bridge

PITTSBURGH — The Smithfield Street Bridge had to be checked out Friday morning after reports of a boat hitting it.

Police arrived at the scene just before 8 a.m., and the boat was already gone.

Rescue crews checked the piers and reported no signs of damage.
