CHALFONT, Pa. — A Bucks County police officer is accused of making up a story about being shot.
Authorities said Officer Jon Cousin from Chalfont radioed from the scene Monday and said he pulled over a suspicious vehicle. Cousin said the driver fired shots and his bullet proof vest saved his life.
The Bucks County District Attorney called the report a lie and said the bullet in Cousin’s vest matched a weapon that belongs to the officer.
Cousin is now facing a number of charges including filing a false police report and disorderly conduct.
