Deshea Townsend's attorney's statement

Deshea Townsend has learned that arrest occurred at a property titled in his name in the Mount Washington area of Pittsburgh.

Although Mr. Townsend has not been associated with the Pittsburgh Steelers with since 2010, he continues to own investment property in the Pittsburgh area for rental purposes.

The property in question was the subject of a lease purchase agreement executed on March  2012.

Neither individuals arrested in the drug bust were signatories to the March  2012 lease agreement.

Mr. Townsend employs a rental agents to conduct his affairs regarding this property and  in no way, shape, or form is he associated with or suspected of any illegal activity or illegal actions that may have occurred at a property rented by him to others.

Mr. Townsend has instructed the rental agency to file the necessary paperwork for legal eviction process.
