Details released about 2012 Three Rivers Arts Festival

PITTSBURGH — Officials released details about the 53rd Three Rivers Arts Festival on Monday that begins in June.

For more than five decades, the festival has been known for good music, unique works of art, wonderful food and not-so-great weather.

This year’s performances include a wide range of artists like Bruce Hornsby, Dell McCoury, the Wailers and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

A lack of fundraising has been a concern in years past, but officials said the sponsorships are key to keeping the festival running.

The festival will run from June 1 to June 10 and most activities take place between noon and 8 p.m.
