PITTSBURGH - Two passengers in a vehicle traveling toward the Wabash Tunnel were injured when the driver crashed into the median Saturday, officials said.
According to authorities, the car was being driven at a high rate of speed as it traveled outbound and crashed into barrels on the median of the roadway outside the tunnel about 7 a.m.
The driver then fled the scene, investigators said.
The two passengers, one of whom was ejected from the vehicle at the time of the crash, were taken to the hospital. They were last listed in critical condition.
