Dump truck crashes into overpass on Route 65 ramp to I-79

PITTSBURGH — A dump truck driver was injured after crashing into an overpass on a ramp leading to Interstate 79 in Glenfield Friday morning.

State police said the ramp on Route 65 will remain closed while official inspect the overpass and ramp.

It is not clear what caused the accident, but officials said the driver of the truck was the only person hurt.

Officials said the hydraulic arm that lifts the back of the truck was fully elevated when the accident happened.

The victim was taken to an area hospital. His or her condition was not immediately released.

The ramp will remain closed until the inspection is complete.
