Elderly man missing for week found dead in Brighton Heights

A North Side man who had been missing for a week was found dead Saturday morning.
A man walking along Ohio River Boulevard discovered the body of 82-year-old Walter Parker, according to a nephew of Parker.
Parker’s family was out looking for him again on Saturday with a search party that began at 8 a.m. at the West View Plaza.
Parker, who had mild dementia and macular degeneration, was last seen at his home on Jan. 25. Family members said he went out for his daily routine of riding the bus from Brighton Heights to the West View Shopping Plaza but never came home.
Police said they don't suspect foul play in Parker's death. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office said an autopsy will be completed.
