Electrical transformer bursts into flames outside Beaver County Times' building

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — An electrical transformer outside the Beaver County Times' building burst into flames Tuesday afternoon and may have ignited part of the building, authorities said.

Beaver County 911 dispatchers said the fire at the building on Fair Avenue in Bridgewater was reported just after 1 p.m. No injuries were reported.

A 911 dispatcher said they could not confirm whether the building caught fire or whether the transformer fire cut power the area. Duquesne Light has been summoned to the scene.

Volunteer fire departments from Bridgewater and Beaver also responded.
