GRINDSTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery inside a Fayette County video store in hopes of identifying the gunman.

Police said a man ran into the L & D Video in Grindstone Township around 8 p.m. Monday waiving a gun.

“There he is. He starts rushing up at that point, adjusting his hoodie,” the employee said. “He came inside and I heard the door. I started walking out and saw the gun pointing at me. I panicked and ran to the back.”

The employee told Channel 11’s Renee Kaminski on Tuesday that he’s still very shaken from the incident.

“He told me to open the drawer since he didn’t have any gloves on at the time,” the employee said. “He basically told me to get the money out for him.”

At this point, the employee said the man pointed a gun at his face.

“After he couldn’t get anymore, he started leading me out there. I followed and he told me to lay on the ground. At that point, he told me to stay there or he’ll blast me,” the employee said.

He said the took the man seriously because the gun was pointed at him the entire time.

“I’m just glad I’m alive,” he said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police.
