Export convenience store raided; Police confiscate what they believe is synthetic marijuana

EXPORT, Pa. — Choice Cigarette Outlet on William Penn Highway in Export was raided on Wednesday.

No charges have been filed, but Murrysville police executed a search warrant and confiscated what they believe to be synthetic marijuana.

"It's a shame.  I think it's irresponsible for them to be selling that if they're doing what we think they're doing," said Chief Thomas Seefeld.

Seefeld said the substances and paraphernalia will be sent to the Greensburg state police crime lab to be tested, and if it is synthetic marijuana, drug charges will be filed.

"I don't like this so close to home.  We have a lot of young people who live around here.  I don't like knowing that a bad element can be up there," said Sandy Simino, who owns a hair salon a few doors down from the convenience store.

The store's owner told Channel 11's Gordon Loesch that all of his products are legal.
