Family believes body found in Ohio River is that of woman who had been missing for months

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — A family believes a body found in the Ohio River is that of a woman who had been missing for months.

The body appears to be Sharone "Lonnie" Nakoa, a mother of three, police said.

"He sent me a picture of her tattoo on her back.  It was her," said Nakoa's mother, Pasty Nakoa.

In what is believed to be their last conversation, Nakoa told her mom she was going to pick up her son from his father's house.

Patsy Nokoa said her daughter was upset about a recent custody change.

"I want to know what happened to my daughter so I can move on," said Patsy Nakoa.
