COLLIER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a fatal accident Monday afternoon on Interstate 79 in Collier Township.
Authorities said the three-vehicle accident was reported on I-79 South near the Heidelberg exit around 2:30 p.m.
The medical examiner confirmed to Channel 11 News that there was a fatality in the accident, but no other details have been released.
Chopper 11 flew over the scene and showed an 18-wheeler, a box truck and a car all in the median of the highway.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
